Bert Watts

Bert began serving at Mountain Creek in May, 2012 as our Associate Pastor and Minister to Students, a role in which he served until November, 2016 when he began serving as our Senior Pastor.

Bert first joined the Mountain Creek staff after graduating from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. Before moving to North Carolina, he served on staff for three years with Campus Outreach at North Georgia College and State University (now known as the University of North Georgia) in Dahlonega, GA. A graduate of the University of Georgia (May ’05), Bert originally planned to be a sportswriter before the Lord redirected his path during his time at UGA.

Bert and his wife Stephanie were married in December, 2007. They have four beautiful daughters: Emily (born in April, 2010), Hannah (b. February, 2012), Claire (b. January, 2014) and Abby (b. March, 2016).
