WHO ARE WE?

We’re an SBC Church, founded in 1824, that from its beginnings has sought to be a gospel-witness to the people of our community, region, nation and world. Today, we state our mission and purpose like this: Magnifying God together as maturing, ministering, and multiplying followers of Jesus.

WHAT TO EXPECT

SUNDAY MORNINGS:

Sunday mornings at Mountain Creek begin with Life Groups and Sunday School classes at 9:30 for all ages, infants through senior citizens. Stop by our Welcome Center in the main building under the awning (click here for our campus map), where some of our friendly welcome team would love to meet you and give you any information you need, including the locations of our Sunday School classes.

Childcare for babies and toddlers along with classes for children are available in the children’s wing at the bottom of the parking lot. Volunteers will meet you to help you sign in your children.

The Sunday morning worship service is at 10:30 am. You can expect a mix of modern and traditional hymns, all led by a worship team. Our Pastor, Bert Watts, typically preaches through books of the Bible, with an occasional topical series mixed in, teaching the Scriptures in a relevant way that points to the gospel and calls for a response of faith in our lives.

Children of all ages are welcome to join us in the sanctuary for our worship services. We do offer Kids Worship as an option for children from K5-3rd grade. Kids Worship dismisses midway through the morning worship service. Children who attend Kids Worship can be picked up outside the Welcome Center immediately following the worship service.

If you’re wondering what to wear, just know that we’re casual in our attire and welcoming in our hearts. At MCBC, you’ll see everything from casual, come-as-you-are attire to some in coats and slacks, and a little bit of everything in between. Please feel free to wear what is comfortable to you when you come to worship with us.
