I’m New

At Mountain Creek, we desire to be a church who is always inviting others to join us as we follow Jesus together. So whether you’re new to the area or new just new to our church, if you’re a long-time follower of Christ or if you’re just now finding out what that’s all about or if you’re a prodigal seeking to return, we’d love to come alongside you as we together walk in the way of Jesus.

Please contact us if you have any questions. You can check us out also on our Facebook or Twitter pages to keep up to date with the latest news and events.

If you come to visit us, let us know. It’d be our pleasure to meet you.

We’re an SBC Church, founded in 1824, that from its beginnings has sought to be a gospel-witness to the people of our community, region, nation and world. Today, we state our mission and purpose like this: Magnifying God together as maturing, ministering, and multiplying followers of Jesus.

Sunday mornings at Mountain Creek begin with Sunday School classes at 9:30 for all ages, infants through senior citizens. Stop by our Welcome Center in the main building under the awning (click here for our campus map), where some of our friendly welcome team would love to meet you and give you any information you need, including the locations of our Sunday School classes.

Childcare for babies and toddlers along with classes for children are available in the children’s wing at the bottom of the parking lot. Volunteers will meet you to help you sign in your children. Children from K5-4th grade are welcome to attend Children’s Church, which dismisses midway through the morning worship service.

The Sunday morning worship service begins at 10:30AM. You can expect a mix of modern and traditional hymns, all led by a worship team. Our Pastor, Bert Watts, typically preaches through books of the Bible, with an occasional topical series mixed in, teaching the Scriptures in a relevant way that points to the gospel and calls for a response of faith in our lives.

If you’re wondering what to wear, just know that we’re casual in our attire and welcoming in our hearts. At MCBC, you’ll see everything from casual, come-as-you-are attire to more formal coat-and-tie and a little bit of everything in between. Please feel free to wear what is comfortable to you when you come to worship with us.

Our Sunday evening worship service begins at 6:00pm. Our teaching here is usually a little more in-depth and covers topics to help us grow in theology and mission.

Children’s Choirs (Ages 3-5 and K5-5th Grade) also meet during this time, being dismissed from the evening service.

From 6:30-7:45, there are activities for all ages:

MC Kids — a children’s ministry for 3-year-old’s through 5th grade students. (September through May only.)

Counter Culture — our student ministry for 6th-12th grade students.

Prayer Gathering — a short devotional message and time of corporate prayer for our adults.

Nursery care is also provided.
